Iconic German supercar maker Porsche will launch the latest version of their first 4-door model, the Panamera, in India on the 23rd of March. The car will be made available initially in its Turbo avatar only, and it will later be followed by the Panamera Executive Turbo, which is its long wheelbase version.
The 2017 Panamera Turbo will have a brand new 4.0 litre, twin turbocharged V8 under its long bonnet. This motor belts out 542 bhp and a stellar 770 Nm of torque, enough to propel this car from a standstill to 100 kph in 4.2 seconds. The Panamera Executive Turbo also will have the same powertrain but, its wheelbase is longer by 150mm, for an increased amount of room inside the passenger cabin. Later in year, Porsche will induct more versions of the Panamera into its Indian model range. These will include diesel models powered by 3.0 litre V6 motor and a 4.0 litre, 442 bhp, V8 motor.
A hybrid version of the Panamera will arrive in India in 2018. Owners will get tons of tech to play with and the car comes with new details such as new LED headlights. Many of the buttons and switches inside the car have been ditched in favour of a touchscreen centre console. Being a Porsche, the Panamera is built supremely and sumptuously appointed as well.
