Hyundai has launched its Xcent in its facelifted avatar with a starting price of Rs 5.3 lakh. The Xcent receives its first major facelift since its launch and it has a long list of changes. First of all the new Xcent gets a more powerful 1.2-litre three-cylinder diesel engine which replaces the older 1.1-litre and that was the earlier cars biggest flaw. The petrol 1.2 continues to do duty as well and the petrol also gets the 4-speed auto while both the diesel and the petrol have a 5-speed manual as standard.
Thankfully a lot of styling changes make it different looking from the Grand hatch. It gets a new chrome hexagonal grille, new headlamps and foglamps with boomerang LED DRLs. The rear also gets a new bumper and tail-lamps. From the side you can see the new alloys too. Inside just like the new Grand i10, the Xcent gets a touchscreen infotainment system with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Of course you get a heap of kit as well on the car with auto ac, rear camera display and sensors, reac ac vents etc
