Mahindra has discontinued the Scorpio automatic in India. The specs and the model has been removed from the website and also dealers confirm that the AT variant of the Scorpio is no longer on sale. The Scorpio Automatic had the 2.2-litre mHawk engine with a 6-speed torque converter. The reason for the automatic variant being discontinued is that Mahindra is readying a facelift of the same. Also we think if you are in the market for one, you could wait for the facelift as the new one will get the much better automatic gearbox from the XUV500. The facelift will have updated headlamps, updated grille along with front bumper while the rear styling will also be changed. The facelifted Scorpio will also get an increase in power.
