Hyundai has teased the new gen Verna and it will be launching it in August this year. The new gen Verna crucially gains in dimensions and that results in a longer wheelbase which we hope will eradicate the biggest complaint that we have from the current Verna which is lack of rear space being too narrow. There is also a bigger boot which is again a welcome change. On the outside the new Verna also looks bigger with more presence while the design is a shrunken Elantra which is no bad thing. It looks much better and also gets smart new 16 inch alloys, LED DRLs along with projector lamps.
Inside, gone is the dated dash of the current model and being replaced with a new look design which is in sync with the latest Hyundai cars. Of course you have a 7 inch touchscreen display with all the usual features including rear camera display, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto plus of course rear ac vents and more. We expect 6 airbags to be offered too on the top-end with dual airbags with ABS/EBD as standard. We expect the engines to be the same with a line-up of 1.4/1.6 diesel and petrol engines though there could be a diesel automatic or even removing the 4-speed AT for the Creta 6-speed AT gearbox.
