How Tiago has changed Tata Motors

The Tiago has been the car that Tata Motors needed and it could not have come at a better time. It has pretty much brought the company back on the road and now it has achieved one lakh bookings. More than 65,000 cars have been sold since launch and no doubt its success has resulted in the Tigor and the new found aggression in Tata Motors is very much due to this car. After the Zest and Bolt, Tata went back to the drawing board and the fresh design, superb cabin and the excellent value, thanks to aggressive pricing, has meant the Tiago does good numbers month on month.

For the price,the Tiago offers a much more spacious cabin plus the interior design along with the (for the price) premium feeling cabin has been a huge draw. Another crucial change is the improvement in quality and the general driving experience. Between the 1.2 petrol and the 1.05 diesel, we have always liked the petrol and just as we recommend, the top variant is the best selling car. The newly launched AMT will also no doubt improve sales and yes for sometime maybe until the Nexon, the Tiago will be the best seller and we also think it is the best car that they make.
