Maruti will launch the facelifted S-Cross facelift this month and just to squash hopes there will not be any 1.6 diesel as like when the current one was first launched. The high price meant it did not find any takers and now it would be even more expensive hence Maruti chose to drop it hence like the Vitara Brezza it will have the 1.3 diesel only with a manual gearbox. However unlike the Brezza, the S-Cross facelift will also have the SHVS system to get better efficiency numbers.
However as you know the S-Cross will not have any benefits having the SHVS system as the Govt has removed them plus thanks to GST, the S-Cross also has that so pricing it keenly will be a challenge but Maruti will price it aggressively. Styling wise the S-Cross facelift gets a new look front with a bigger grille, new headlamps, new front bumper, new alloys while the rear has restyled tail-lamps. Inside there would be feature changes and some minor updates. As you know the S-Cross facelift is a NEXA product and is the most expensive Maruti but we expect aggressive pricing means it would be under Rs 11 lakh for the top-end trim.
