Skoda will launch the Kodiaq in Mumbai tomorrow and its the most awaited product with it, Skoda is coming back into the SUV space. The Yeti was not successful but with the Kodiaq, Skoda plans to compete with both the likes of the Fortuner and Tucson. There are not many variants and you get a fully loaded trim. Thus the Kodiaq comes with a lot of features and that is its highlight plus it has 7 seats which gives it a boost in terms of practicality. In terms of engine options there is one choice but the 2.0 diesel with the 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. There is no petrol yet. There is AWD though along with decent 190mm ground clearance. We expect pricing and Skoda knows that so around Rs 30-35 lakh is what we expect. We will know more tomorrow.
