This is the new facelifted Mahindra KUV100 NXT which is basically the KUV100 getting a much needed updated. So let us get down to it. In terms of exteriors it gets a new front grille with chrome inserts, new dual-tone front and rear bumpers with silver skid plates, new headlamps plus much needed bigger 15 inch alloys. There are also dua-tone colours and overall in terms of exteriors it is an improvement with less fussy lines and the bigger wheels improving the stance.
Inside too you have new 7 inch touchscreen with GPS navigation plus a new driver information system along with voice alerts along with the BlueSense app plus new temperature control panel, powered ORVMs, reverse parking sensors, gear shift indicator etc. It also has new black interiors which look better now plus Mahindra claims it has improved seat bolstering. It also has ABS standard plus dual airbags optional from base variant.
There is also the 5 and 6 seater formats with 243l boot space which is expandable to 473l. In terms of engines it gets the same 1.2l petrol with 82 bhp and 1.2l diesel with 77 bhp. A 5-speed manual is standard. There is the same variant line-up and prices start at rs 4.39 lakh for the petrol and Rs 5.39 lakh for the diesel. The top-end petrol K8 is 6.4 lakh. The KUV100 is a hatch rather than a SUV and will rival the likes of the Grand i10. If you fancy its styling and features, the KUV100 in its new avatar is much more desirable now. A unique alternative to small cars but not a compact SUV.
