Renault will launch its Captur crossover on the 16th of this month. The Captur would be its much awaited launch and would be the flagship product from Renault India- positioned above the Duster. The Captur is based on the Duster platform but as you can see the philosophy is completely different with a clear ambition of being a crossover while the Duster retains its rugged SUV genes. The Captur dimensions include length of 4,329mm, width of 1,813mm and height of 1,613mm and a ground clearance of 210mm. Wheelbase of 2673mm is same as Duster.
Renault has also tuned the India spec Captur to suit our tastes with being no base variant unlike in some other markets. The top-end trim will be called as Platine and will have many features exclusive to it with the talking points being the 17 inch alloys, smart access card key, push button start, gold and white interiors, ambient lighting, Audi style indicators etc. Other trims would be well equipped too with no basic variant on offer. The Captur will have the same engines as Duster with a 1.5 diesel with 110 bhp and 1.5 petrol with 104 bhp. Renault will likely price the Captur with a small premium over the Duster.
