The British luxury sports car maker has always exhibited its passion towards building high-speed super grand wagons in its long standing history which spans for a period of 100 years now. Vantage, being the name entitled for super performing cars, have thrilled enthusiasts purely with the driving characteristics of the automobiles that bear these names. The V8 Vantage series makes its mark with the powerful 4.7L mill. When the company decided to take this forward and come out with an even sportier automobile with and upgraded mill, there was an expectation outburst among fanatic fans of Aston Martin. It was truly a challenge to come out with a higher version of a sports car which already had carved benchmark for its driving characteristics and performance. Designers at the company made this possible and brought out Aston Martin V8 Vantage S Coupe with an even more powerful engine and advanced features. The sports coupe is carefully modified such that the essence of Vantage is retained while flavouring it with more sportiness.

Aston Martin V8 Vantage comes packed with equipment and features which are put together in such a way that the driver can take complete control of the car and drive to his desirable extremes of speed and drifting. The sports car is offered in about 24 colour shades which may leave the consumer confused about his choice.

Powertrain & Performance

Aston Martin has worked on tuning the V8 petrol mill of Vantage model to deliver higher torque and power. The 8-cylinder, 32-valve engine is 4735 cc in cubic capacity and has quad camshaft mechanism for refined performance. The engine generates 430 bhp @ 7300 rpm and has a peak torque of 490 Nm @ 5000 rpm. The sports car feels charged right from the second the engine is started. The engine is front mid-mounted and is positioned in such a way that there is more driving stability. It is coupled with an advanced Sportshift II automatic transmission unit which has seven gears which are designed with perfect ratios to intensify sporty driving qualities. Aston Martin V8 Vantage S Coupe has a mind blowing top-speed of 305 km/h. The drivetrain is backed by sophisticated control systems like ABS, Traction Control and Brake Assist units.

Suspension system comprising of independent double wishbone type units is designed with anti-dive and anti-squat geometry at front and rear. It works in accordance with the performance of the superb sports car giving a spirited and confident drive at every corner.

Build & Styling

Aston Martin V8 Vantage S Coupe carries the looks of its siblings and adds some extra feathers in the crown to look classier. Like other Aston Martin———s this sports car has chrome tipped 6-slat front grille and LED decorated pointed headlamps over the appealing front with a beautiful nose. The bonnet bulges elegantly to make the S Coupe more aggressive and appealing. There is a carbon fibre splitter at the lower part of front bumper which along with tailgate having a pronounced flip increases down force for the V8 Vantage S Coupe to give higher driving stability. The side sills and the rear haunches extend wide to show off the muscularity of the sports car. The coupe roof-line meticulously melds with the rear of the car making it a visual sensation. Extruded aluminium is used for VH body structure to reduce overall weight of the sports car and to while not compromising on rigidity.

All Aston Martins are built with care detailing the product at every inch to mark a difference. The V8 Vantage S Coupe stands no different to this factor. The choice of materials to tailor this cabin is simply superb and the design of seats, dashboard and centre console are focuses on bringing race car feel at steering wheel and while delivering comfort of a luxurious wagon. Iridium Silver and Graphite is used over centre console for higher aesthetic quotient. The centre console carries a 160 W audio system from Aston Martin and automatic temperature control AC. Even the thread used to stitch leather upholstery is carefully chosen to suit overall colour theme of the cabin. Every control button and knob feels great in operation. The seats are electrically adjustable making it more convenient for occupants to find their comfortable posture. Apart from these the letter S is embroidered over seats and mat to distinguish this product from its siblings.

Aston Martin has made sure to incorporate some effective support systems to drivetrain in order to give better driving control and reduce the possibilities of danger. ABS with EBD is empowered with Electronic Brake Assist and Hydraulic Brake Assist systems. Traction Control and Dynamic Stability Control further ensures firmness of every drive. Within the cabin there are dual-stage airbags for driver and front passenger to protect them for major injuries when there is a front-end collision.
