Audi A7 Performance Review

Powertrain & Performance

Although the car has been built keeping in mind every minute details, Audi engineers have paid special attention to the engines too. In addition to provide fuel economy, the engine has been manufactured to deliver outstanding performance, smooth handling, and mighty power. The Audi A7 3.0L TDI Quattro is available in India with a V6 cylinder diesel engine with common rail injection system and exhaust gas turbocharging that is capable of producing a max output of 241.3 bhp @ 4000-4500 rpm and a max torque of 500 Nm @ 1400-3250 rpm. It has a displacement of 2967 cc. The Sportback offers no compromise when it comes to fuel consumption. Its diesel engine conveniently delivers 13.8 kmpl in city condition, 18.86 kmpl in extra-urban condition (highway), and 16.6 kmpl in combined condition. The Audi A7 has a fuel tank capacity of 65 litres.

The vehicle is equipped with an S tronic gearbox that is a perfect combination of the low fuel consumption of the manual gearbox with the advantages of an automatic transmission. The acceleration is pretty fast and it can zoom in from 0-100 km/h in 6.3 seconds. Another important feature, the start-stop system also helps in reducing the fuel economy as well as CO2 emissions by switching off the engine when the car is not moving. So when you halt in a signal, bring the gearbox to neutral, and release your foot off the clutch, the system shuts down the engine automatically.
