But nothing has been as remarkable as the launch of S6, which according to the marque, is meant for ambitious executive customers who have a passion for speed. The luxurious saloon has also brought into market some extraordinary technologies like cylinder-on-demand which has not only increased the efficiency of engine but has also given way to a different approach for reducing unnecessary emissions.

Powertrain & Performance

The 4.0L TFSI of this Audi boasts of new technology which is called cylinder-on-demand. This breakthrough technology shuts off operation of four out of eight cylinders at lower rpm speeds and at lower cylinder temperature. This brilliant system is capable of sensing the requirement for torque and power and rightly engaging all eight cylinders at right instance. Since there is enough power or torque delivery at all instances the consumers cannot sense any changes because of this mechanism. The main benefit of this technology is increase fuel economy and decrease in emission. With the powerful 3993 cc V8 TFSI engine and with this technology in place, maximum power delivered from the engine is 414.4 bhp @ 5500-6400 rpm. Maximum rated torque for the engine is 550 Nm @ 1450-5250 rpm. The sporty saloon can make it to 100 km/h speed mark in 4.8 seconds and has a top-speed of 250 km/h. The 7-speed S tronic transmission finely blends with the engine to deliver such stunning performance.

There is variable damping system used in the suspension which adapts to driving needs of the customer based on road condition.
