Powertrain & Performance

BMW X1 is loaded with 2 litre TwinPower Turbo diesel engine that churns out an impressive 184 bhp of power @ 4000 rpm and the maximum torque is 380 Nm @ 1750 – 2750 rpm. The engine is mated to 8-speed automatic transmission that offers smoothness and convenience even on rough terrains and better fuel efficiency. The lightweight aluminium construction enhances the driving dynamics, saves fuel and is loaded with a zero-maintenance particle filter as standard. The suspension system consists of Independent front strut with stabiliser bar and coil springs in the front and independent rear multi-link suspension with stabiliser bar and coil springs at the rear. The BMW TwinPower Turbo technology increases efficiency. From 1750 rpm and above, the engine returns a mileage of 17.05 kmpl. The CommonRail direct injection and exhaust turbocharger enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds. The smooth gearshift of the 8-speed automatic transmission produces greater engine efficiency at every speed. This helps in reducing the fuel consumption and makes gear changes more comfortable.
