In a bid to seize a mammoth's share of the SUV market and steer buyers into its showrooms, General Motors has launched a heavily face-lifted version of the original Captiva - the all-Chevrolet Captiva that delivers more power, more luxury and a lot more attitude. This dominating, dynamic, sporty SUV retains the punch-packed engine, stunning looks and spacious well built interiors of its forerunner, but gets a new bumper, double decker split grille, improved tail-lights and redesigned headlights. Apart from a fresh exterior, Captiva also prides itself on its upgraded opulent and stylish interiors and comes with impressive chassis modifications. Designed to "tame every terrain", this power-packed, stylishly rugged SUV is as much a delight to ride on roads as much as off it. Available in three different variants - Chevrolet Captiva LT (base model), Chevrolet Captiva Xtreme (second variant) and Chevrolet Captiva 2.2 LTZ AWD (top variant), Chevrolet Captiva comes with 2 engine and 2 transmission options. The Chevrolet Captiva has undergone the most significant changes under its clear-cut bonnet. All the variants of Chevrolet Captiva come armed with 4 powerful Next Generation Variable Geometry Turbo Common Rail Direct injection (VCDi) diesel engine. Chevrolet Captiva LT and Chevrolet Captiva Xtreme are equipped with 2.0 litre engine that delivers an adrenaline pumping power of 147.94 bhp @ 4000 rpm while the Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) system delivers a handsome torque of 320 Nm @ 2000 rpm for a smooth ride. Chevrolet Captiva 2.2 LTZ AWD come with 2.2 litre turbocharged diesel engine that mills a jaw-dropping power of 183.94 bhp @ 3800 rpm and a whopping torque of 424 Nm @ 2000 rpm. Chevrolet Captiva LT and Chevrolet Captiva Xtreme are endowed with 5-speed manual transmission while the premium model of Chevrolet Captiva 2.2 LTZ AWD features an awesome 6-speed automatic transmission.
