Overview

Chevrolet Spark, the popular small car from the stables of General Motors, has become more sporty and stylish. The Chevrolet Spark has a host of features that combine with its handsome, sturdy, and solid good looks to give it an edge in the market. This hatchback has a new and improved body design. It is available in two engine options- Petrol and LPG and 5 variants - base, LS and LT in Petrol and LS and LT in LPG. The Spark is endowed with amazing handling, fantastic ride quality and superior performance.

Chevrolet Spark is available in an array of six vibrant colours: Velvet Red, Caviar Black, Linen Beige, Sandrift Grey, Summit White and Misty Lake.


Powertrain & Performance

The Chevrolet Spark is equipped with a splendid S-Tec, 995 cc petrol engine that churns out 62 bhp @ 5400 rpm and delivers a torque of 90.3 Nm @ 4200 rpm. This engine is economical yet powerful. The engine is loaded with many innovative new features like a Dual Distributor-Less Ignition System (DDLI), Sequential MPFI, an Advanced Optical Sensor and a Motorised Throttle Intake System (MTIS). This assures smooth, efficient, reliable, noiseless and low-maintenance operation. The LPG variants of Chevrolet Spark is equipped with a sequential injection-type LPG kit which has many advantages like good fuel economy, no engine backfiring while changing to LPG mode or back to petrol mode, better power and pick-up, lower emissions and low running cost. The 995 cc SOHC LPG engine churns out 62 bhp in petrol mode and 60 bhp in LPG mode and delivers a torque of 90.3 @ 4200 rpm. The engines are mated to 5-speed manual transmission system. The suspension system consists of McPherson Strut with Anti roll bars in the front and Torsion Beam Axle at the rear which makes the ride comfortable even on bumpy roads. The turning radius of 4.5 m helps the Spark to maneouver easily throughout the city.


Build & Styling

The Chevrolet Spark is endowed with a new and strikingly crisp aerodynamic frame that is unique. The twin port grille with Chevy signature imparts a strong and refined statement. The quotation style headlamps provide clear visibility at night and also give a unique identity to the Spark. The striking satin-silver roof rails highlight the compact design and also complement its aerodynamic styling. The tail lamps with chrome finish enhance the overall appeal of the car. The interior of Chevrolet Spark is spacious and luxurious with features like rear seat folding, seatback shopping hooks, digital tachometer, digital tripmeter and digital fuel gauge. The Chevrolet Spark is equipped with many advanced safety features without compromising on comfort. The body shell comprises of high-strength steel (51 percent of the total weight) which provides great rigidity and stability while lowering the weight. The tailor welded blanks used in B pillars minimise the side impact intrusions and keep the occupants safe. The fog lamps add to the beauty of the exterior and also provide enhanced road visibility which adds to the safety in adverse and low visibility conditions. The newly added rear reflector tail lamps make night driving easy as it can be noticed by other cars on the road from a comfortable distance. The other safety features present are headlamp leveling device, central-high mount stop lamp, 3-Point ELR seat belts in the front, 3-Point ELR seat belts at the rear, 2-Point seat belts - rear middle, collapsible steering column, tubeless tyres, brake booster and child safety locks at rear doors.
