Jaguar XKR is the sleekest of the cats. It has been regarded as one of Jaguar's most iconic cars in British race car history. Its muscular styling and jaw dropping performance makes it the fastest XK-Series ever made. It is available in coupe and convertible body styles. The XK-Series have been around since 1961. The race car style XKR is a Grand Tourer delivering high quality performance and was introduced in 1966. Like its seductive ancestors, this XK is a beautiful blend of Jaguar style and British interiors defined by wood, leather and quietness.

Powertrain & Performance

Jaguar XKR convertible is equipped by an all new 5.0L AJ-V8 GEN III R supercharged petrol engine considered to be the most powerful and efficient powertrain ever designed by Jaguar. It features twin air intakes and a new six generation Eaton supercharger that helps it generate 503 bhp of power output and 625 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an intuitive 6-speed automatic transmission with Jaguar Sequential Shift Transmission. A fully adaptive gearbox offers the smoothest shifts and optimum performance at all times. It also uses additional clutch plates to enable the transmission to manage the high power output from the supercharged engine.

The car can pounce from 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. It can achieve a top speed of 250 km/h. The Adaptive Dynamics system is standard in all XK models and continuously varies the damping system to adjust to all driving conditions and provide razor sharp handling.

The supercharged engine offers optimum level of power and torque at all engine speeds, instant throttle response, outstanding mid-range acceleration and excellent drivability. The Active Differential Control (ADC) is an electronically controlled differential technology installed for the first time in XKR.

Build & Styling

Jaguar XKR Convertible is the sportier version of the iconic XK-Series of cars. In India, Jaguar XKR Convertible is one of the most beautiful creations to have treaded the Indian roads. The stunning car gets short overhangs with typical Jaguar voluptuousness. High attention has been paid to every nook and corner and even the tyres and wheels are more prominent in design. The stowaway power convertible fabric top folds away in a mere 18 seconds even as the car is in motion.

The XKR features modified bolstered seats to hold driver and the passenger firmly yet comfortably in their seats while cruising at high speeds. In the cabin the steering wheel, tachometer, head restraints and the dash feature an exclusive R branding. Jaguar Drive Selector offers the first of its kind rotary interface to the gearbox to combine institutive control and cutting edge technology. The interior is specked with high levels of Bowers and Wilkins 525 W premium sound system connected to a remote amplifier with Dolby Pro-Logic II sound system and 8 speakers. The use of Bowers and Wilkins technology is exclusive to Jaguar cars.

The well designed cabin is covered in the finest wood and leather materials. They reflect a contemporary craftsmanship and a welcoming refinement. Lovely leather upholstery with unique styling cues is exclusive on XKR models. The sophisticated instrument cluster features simple to use buttons and switches. A 7-inch full colour screen display is designed to deliver advanced high resolution graphics to provide maximum clarity. The liquid crystal display instrumentation unit is split in several zones to highlight important vehicles functions clearly. A dual-zone automatic climate control features individual cabin temperature selection system.

Safety systems include Smart Key keyless entry system, convertible roll over protection system, advanced braking system with R performance brakes with advanced features and aluminum calipers designed to provide shortest stopping distances during the hardest braking.
