Overview

The Bolero, Mahindra's flagship SUV, has consistently evolved as a premier utility vehicle since its launch in August 2000, incorporating a number of features in tune with the changing lifestyle and expectations of Indians. It has been the country's highest selling SUV since five years. Last year, Mahindra sold 83,121 units of the Bolero. Buoyed by the success, Mahindra has launched the bolero.

The Mahindra Bolero is an exciting version with an all-new peppy and refined engine, a host of advanced technological features and an intriguing interior. It is available in three well-equipped trims - SLE, SLX & ZLX in BSIII and BSIV variants. The Bolero is available in six exciting colours - Java Brown, Toreador Red, Fiery Black, Diamond White, Mist Silver and Rocky Beige. The DI and Plus model continue with the current looks and current engine.

Like the physical model, the Bolero's online presence is quite impressive. Its Facebook page has nearly 3,00,000 fans who share their experiences and adventures in their Bolero. The SUV has also celebrity customers like ace cricketers Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa who drive Bolero Stinger and a Bolero Special Edition.

Powertrain & Performance

The Mahindra Bolero is powered by a new and refined 2523 m2DiCR engine rated at a maximum power of 63 bhp @320 rpm and torque of 195 Nm @ 1400-2200 rpm. This engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission utilises the benefits of DI engine with modern common rail technology with low noise, vibration and harshness. The Bolero ZLX BSIII ARAI certified model delivers 15.96 kmpl. The new micro-hybrid technology (in BSIV models only) ensures lower fuel consumption when the engine is in standby mode. Thus, is environment-friendly too. The uniquely designed stylish gear shift knob is made for effortless shifting of gears on the move.

The tough, rugged and sporty Bolero is second to none to look and feel. The muscular design of the vehicle projects an aggressive stance while the new hawk-eye headlamps attract the onlookers even if they are not switched on. The remote wash and wipe system clears all dirt quickly delivering high-class visibility under all conditions.

Inside, the brand new digital display is vibrant and represents the ultra modern style of the Bolero. The interior highlights include premium two-tone upholstery with plush fabric and vinyl seats, stylish dashboard and integrated digital display, power windows, stylish and ergonomic steering wheel with a sporty gear knob, driver Information system and voice messaging system and engine immobilizer. The centre arm rest offers optimum relaxation on long drives. The thoughtfully designed stylish wooden console has a premium look and classy AC vents ensure a pleasant atmosphere inside the Bolero. The quality of sound produced from the high-class audio system is very good and adds to driving comforts. The voice messaging system alerts you when the doors are open or the vehicle is running on low fuel.

The Bolero is equipped with all modern safety features and capable of taking on the toughest of terrains. With the child safety lock, doors cannot be opened while travelling without the driver's knowledge. The new muscular bumpers provide safety during unfortunate impacts and the state-of-the-art technology in the engine immobiliser prevents the vehicle theft.
