Mahindra Gio is India's first compact truck which is ingeniously designed to cater to all the needs of intra-city operations. Mahindra's combined sales of its pick-ups and three-wheelers depicts that it crosses 7,000 vehicles every month which makes Mahindra the biggest player in the small commercial vehicle segment. These vehicles are rugged built, low operating cost and have powerful characteristics yet carry fuel efficient engines.

Mahindra Gio possesses unmatched mileage of 30 kmpl. The 0.5 ton cargo box has been designed to maximize the load carrying capacity of the space available. The Mahindra Gio is available in an array of five colors that includes Golden Yellow, Sporty Green, Royal Red, Peacock Blue and Diamond White. The vehicle is available in three different variants namely delivery van, pick up and high deck.

Powertrain & Performance

Mahindra Gio is equipped with a flamboyant Single Cylinder, Direct Injection 441.5 cc low cost engine that churns out 9.1 bhp @ 3600 rpm. The engine is mated with option of 4 forward and 1 reverse sequential shift, Constant mesh gear box to offer smooth lever movement and intuitive placement which makes shifting easy and confident. The suspension system of Mahindra Gio comprises of Independent units with McPherson Strut in the front and Leaf Spring with Telescopic Shock absorber at the rear. It has been designed and developed for a fantastic driving comfort on Indian roads both in plain and rough terrains. The easy-to-grip, 2-spoke steering wheel, along with the small turning radius of the vehicle, makes it easy to maneuver, even through narrow and crowded areas.

Build & Styling

The path breaking new compact truck sports a perfect blend of style and substance with its bold design and stylish body graphics to make sure that driving around in the Gio is more than just about making deliveries.

The sporty front grille and bezel adds style to the exterior. It has well placed, easy to read instrument panel, stylish car like headlamps and side indicators which impart a trendy look to the Gio.

The Gio conquers long and tiresome journeys comfortably. The spacious cabin provides more legroom and more headroom. Adding to the charm of the interior are the sliding cushioned seats that can be adjusted to suit the preferred driving position and the rolling windows.

The Mahindra Gio has been put to stringent safety tests, like the crash test. The safety features include rear leaf springs which are designed for better balance, even while carrying heavy loads and semi forward cabin which protects during frontal impact. The semi-forward cabin protects the vehicle and the person sitting inside during frontal impact.
