The Renault Duster is a SUV that has been very popular in India and despite the presence of newer competition it continues to be so. The Renault Duster is now available in a more rugged Adventure Edition with visual upgrades. This muscular looking SUV gets features like smoked headlamps, door sill, cladding on the wheel arches, more aggressive front bumper, new alloys, side body mouldings, armour on lamps. On the inside the Duster Adventure Edition gets lime green upholstery, black finish on centre console and silver door handles. The Renault Duster Adventure is available with the 110 PS RxL version. This is the top of the line flagship version of the Duster SUV. The Renault Duster Adventure Edition gets a 110 bhp 1461cc diesel engine with an abundant 248 Nm of torque. The Renault Duster Adventure gets a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Renault Duster Adventure is priced along its rivals and that is good considering the added features and value that this SUV gives.

Powertrain & Performance

The Renault Duster Adventure Edition is available with the 110 bhp 1.5 dCi K9K diesel engine. This engine makes a healthy 248 Nm of torque at 2250 rpm which is required for smooth city driving. This diesel engine is effortless in the city and combined with the 6-speed manual gearbox it is easy to drive in traffic. The clutch is light and the gearbox is easy to use. The benefits of this engine include good performance but also excellent fuel economy as the Renault Duster with this engine gives 19.01 kmpl which is excellent considering its size. In the city and highway there is no turbo-lag and it feels fast. The Renault Duster Adventure has Independent McPherson Strut with Coil Springs & Anti-Roll Bar at the front suspension and Torsion Beam Axle with Coil Springs & Anti-Roll Bar for the rear suspension. The ride is brilliant and it soaks up bad roads with ease. This is the best riding SUV in its class. The Renault Duster Adventure also has a light yet direct steering which makes it great in the city as well as on the highways.

Build & Styling

The Renault Duster Adventure Edition is a good looking SUV and has very good space inside. The dimensions include length of 4315mm, width of 1822mm, height of 1695mm (with roof rails). The Duster Adventure Editions has presence with styling details being added to the looks like smoked headlamps , aggressive front bumper, wheel arch cladding, side body moulding, Adventure decal and front armour with lamps. There are six vibrant colour options to choose from when it comes to this SUV. The interior of the Renault Duster Adventure Edition has added features like special seat fabric upholstery, chrome satin door sill, silver finish door handles and Piano black finish on centre console. The equipment list is impressive with features like 4 speakers, USB, Bluetooth, Navigation, steering controls, 12v power socket and cup-holders. The Duster Adventure is also very spacious with enough practical bits thrown in. The front seats are comfy and the rear seats also have enough headroom and legroom. The boot is also big with 475 litres. When it comes to safety, the Renault Duster Adventure has driver and front passenger airbags, an engine immobiliser, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) which prevents the wheels locking up under hard braking and Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD) which regulates braking force on each wheel for the most effective stopping power. Plus there is central locking of course and there is also an engine protective under guard. For easier parking there are rear parking sensors.

The Renault Duster single handedly catapulted Renault into the limelight in India and it was the car responsible for the company’s turnaround and current success in the country. Its size, practicality, quality and features instantaneously endeared it to the car buying population of India. The Adventure edition of the Duster adds to the good looks of the car and makes it appear to be a tougher, more masculine vehicle that can tackle its share of off-roading. The cost for this edition is higher than that of its base version, but if you are not the type who likes to blend in, this is the Duster for you.
