Tata Vista D90, the small yet powerful vehicle has the youthfulness to impress modern day Indians at first sight. This car, which is the developed version of Indica Vista, comes with an advanced Quadrajet engine from Fiat as one of the options among its other engine variants. The car uses the same platform which is used by its predecessor, Indica Vista. The auto marque has picked up trending design aspects and has applied it to this hatchback. The infinity contrast roof, rear roof spoiler and alloy wheels are some rare additions to this automobile which are usually not found in Tata vehicles that were launched earlier.

 Tata Vista D90 is a five-seater car which has four different types of engines as options. Two Quadrajet diesel engines, one 1.4L TDi and one 1.2L Safire engines are in the options list. The car is available in five different colours namely - Porcelain White, Spicy Red, Ultra Violet, Cavern Grey and Jet Silver.

Powertrain & Performance

Tata Vista D90 has four engine options in its list. The 1.4L TDi is a diesel engine which delivers 70 bhp @ 4500 rpm and 135.4 Nm of torque @ 2500 rpm. The 1.3L Quadrajet motors come in two different designs. One of them is a Common Rail diesel motor which does not use VGT and has an output of 74 bhp @ 4000 rpm and 190 Nm of torque @ 1750-3000 rpm. Another Quadrajet motor is equipped with Variable Geometry Turbocharger which boosts power thrown out from the motor. The maximum output figures come up to 88.8 bhp @ 4000 rpm and 200 Nm @ 1750-3000 rpm. These Quadrajet engines run on diesel. The 1.2L petrol Safire engine produces 64.1 bhp of power @ 5500 rpm and 96 Nm of torque @ 3000 rpm. The company claimed mileage of 88.8 hp engine is 21.12 kmpl.

The car has 5-speed manual transmission unit coupled to its engine. Suspension system comprises of independent lower wishbone McPherson strut with coil springs at front and semi independent twist beam with coil spring and shock absorber at rear. All the models have power steering system which makes it easy for the driver to drive this car.

Build & Styling

Looking at Tata Vista D90, one can easily see that the vehicle is dressed to carry today’s trending aesthetic features. Be it the stylish rear roof spoiler or the infinity contrast roof top, the 8-spoke alloy wheels or be it the sporty bumpers; the vehicle is well armed to impress audience. Vista D90 has chrome lining at the tip of the hood, just above front grille and its front bumper has bold edges which add aerodynamic characteristics to the vehicle while the black air inlets fit within the bumpers speak aggressive language.

Cabin coloured with Sahara Beige and Black shades looks charming and is equipped with hi-fi gadgets which elevate the quality of the car’s interior. Fabric is used to upholster the seats of Vista D90. Automatic climate control air conditioner cools the interior space for high-end models. The auto manufacturer has fit some first-class technical gadgets into the dashboard of Vista D90 which give it an up market feel. The 2DIN audio system with four speakers and two tweeters has Bluetooth connectivity. Satellite Navigation System with 6.7 inch TFT touch screen display is available only in high-end versions of the car. These gadgets heighten the value of Vista D90. Digital Driver Information System (DIS) has a lot to offer. Information related to fuel reserve in the tank, distance to empty, ambient temperature is displayed in the small rectangular screen of DIS.

The car has an effective braking system backed by ABS unit which avoids loss of traction while brake is applied. Two SRS airbags are fit on the front which protects driver and the person in co-driver seat. The exterior body is engineered to have crumple zones and impact beams. These zones avoid force of impacts being transferred to the cabin.
